2018-A year that went by...

As everyone else, I too welcomed 2018 with lots of resolutions and things to do. But me...being me...I didn't do any of those. Now when I look back,I realize that it was a crazy year. Had some bitter-sweet experiences, ups & downs and much more throughout the year. I also got to know and learn many things along the way. So here I am going to share all the lessons/things that I learned in this year, that went by so swiftly. To give up and to give in seems easy and a sensible thing to do in certain situations...but it’s also worthy to take that one step, that one leap towards your goal. Success and failures are two sides of same coin so don’t be afraid if you face a failure. Learn from it and go ahead. It’s ok if you don’t achieve/attain things as per the “timelines”. They don’t define you and your accomplishments. Knowledge is power...So keep yourself updated with new concepts, skills etc. Also share your knowledge with others. It might benefit someone. My first bookfair experience

It was decided that me and few of my friends will be going to a book fair. I have never been to a book fair before. And I personally wanted to experience it. On my way to meet my friends, I had to board 2 different buses. It's been such a long time since I travelled alone for a good amount of 40-50 minutes. It's in the bus, that a thought crossed my mind..that our lives are so simple. Travelling alone or with people to run errands or meet people or to be at places. From Indira nagar...me, Vishnu, Athul, Megha, Mridula, Vipin, Sharu & Hari… we started… to the book fair. On the roads of Indira Nagar, walking back and forth, we were contemplating on the routes to be taken and the mode of transportation. Finally boarded a bus to Mehdipatnam, then auto rickshaw till the stadium. My heart skipped a beat when he said there is no NTR stadium nearby NTR gardens because all these people were coming as I wanted to buy books. Anyway, we reached...there it was...book fai...

A day out with friends

Today I had fun with some really good people...a day out with some good friends. I had to go shopping for a gift for my Boss for his farewell. That was the task assigned to me by my colleagues. Called a friend, hired a car and we set off to find the best gift. Went from one shop to another in search of it but didn’t find it. Kept roaming on the roads of Hyderabad and it was fun. We decided to call other friends and we four...me, Vishnu, Megha and Athul. Went to inorbit mall and started our window shopping session. As usual I made Vishnu get me the book “Jesus Calling”. I’m such a bookworm. It isn’t the book that made my day special, but the laughs we all had, the teasing, our group search for a gift, KFC bucket & the milkshake that we all shared. It isn’t just the group effort of deciding on the gift that mattered but the time we spent together. It isn’t the selfies that we take with our friends that matters but the memories we share with them. It isn’t the money...

Lessons I Learned From My Job Hunting Experience

I gave my first interview on 6th November 2014, even before completing my graduation in a campus recruitment. I did B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) along with Chartered Accountancy but I couldn’t complete CA. I remember the date so well, because the very next day IPCC exams were to start. My Mom and friends compelled me to attend the interview so I did. My last interview was on 31st July 2015 & I got selected and I’m presently working with that company. I would like to share few things which I understood while I was on Job hunt. Not every person who helps, does it with a good intention: During those few months, there were people who helped me. There was this one person, once a friend of mine, who helped me and I was grateful. But he had an ulterior motive and I lost trust on him and his friendship when I came to know about it. Lowest point of your life reveals the true nature of people around you: There was a time when I used to focus on 2 things...1)on my studies an...

A letter to parents

Image
Parenthood… It’s a blessing…A blessing that comes with responsibilities, patience, sacrifice, pain, happiness, stress and much more. And not everyone is blessed with it. You may question how a person with zero experience in parenthood can talk about it. I am not going to write about how a person should raise their kids…. Following points need to be considered while parenting and I believe every parent should be aware of . These are the things that I went through, that I have seen happening around me and I believe,
