2018-A year that went by...

As everyone else, I too welcomed 2018 with lots of resolutions and things to do. But me...being me...I didn't do any of those.

Now when I look back,I realize that it was a crazy year. Had some bitter-sweet experiences, ups & downs and much more throughout the year.I also got to know and learn many things along the way.

So here I am going to share all the lessons/things that I learned in this year, that went by so swiftly.
  • To give up and to give in seems easy and a sensible thing to do in certain situations...but it’s also worthy to take that one step, that one leap towards your goal.
  • Success and failures are two sides of same coin so don’t be afraid if you face a failure. Learn from it and go ahead.
  • It’s ok if you don’t achieve/attain things as per the “timelines”. They don’t define you and your accomplishments.
  • Knowledge is power...So keep yourself updated with new concepts, skills etc. Also share your knowledge with others. It might benefit someone.
  • Being independent is necessary and good...for both men and women. Being independent doesn't simply confine to financial matters. It is much more than that.
  • Have trust and faith in people but never do it blindly.
  • It doesn't even take few seconds for people to turn their back against you. So stop trying to convince and making others understand you.
  • Have a passion or a hobby? Work on it... It could be anything and working on it, will give you immense happiness.
  • Spend some quality time with your family and friends. It is necessary, not just to maintain relationships but for your own well being and happiness.
  • Have confidence and faith in yourself. Because having a little bit of faith can take you to places.
  • You fall...you get up...and you move on.  Learn from the mistakes and go ahead with life instead of sulking and regretting at the decisions made and steps taken.
  • Others opinions about you do not define who you are. So it’s better to get over them.
  • Avoid people and things that are toxic to you. Your mental health is important.
  • Adulting is hard.
  • You don’t need to keep everyone updated about your life and the decisions that you make because most of them don’t help you to reach that goal of yours.

These are the things that I learned and understood in 2018. I don’t regret anything that happened so far because that was necessary for me to understand myself and to recognize who “my people” are.
